FINE JEWELRY CARE

Gold
Although gold is tarnish resistant, it can get dirty or smudged. To care for your fine jewelry, we recommend cleaning it with a mild detergent. You can use a soft brush but avoid using an abrasive material as it can scratch the gold. Be sure to rinse well and completely wipe clean.

Pearls
If you have a fine jewelry piece that contains a pearl, extra care should be taken. Cultured pearls are precious jewels and should be treated accordingly. Cosmetics, hair sprays, and perfume should be applied and allowed to dry completely before putting on pearl jewelry. Extra care should also be taken by wiping the pearl carefully with a soft cloth to remove any traces of body oils or sweat when you take off your jewelry. You can also clean your pearl with mild soap and water. Do not clean cultured pearls with any chemicals, abrasives or solvents.

Silver
All sterling silver will tarnish over time, but it is accelerated when it comes into contact with perfume, salty air, sulfur, lotion, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin ph. Tarnishing is therefore not a manufacturing fault but a natural behavior of the metal.

We recommend that you do not wear your jewelry in the shower, in ocean water, whilst in bed or during sporting activities.

Use a clean, cotton cloth and mild dish detergent diluted in water to clean your piece when tarnishing occurs. Apply the diluted dish detergent to the clean cotton cloth and rub the piece in one direction. Avoid cleaning your piece circular motions.

BRASS / PLATED JEWELRY CARE

It is normal for your brass jewelry to transition in colors as you wear it, this is called a patina. This is the normal behavior of this metal as it is exposed to air and skin. Some people love the patina of the metal but if you don't, not to worry, you can return your brass jewelry to a shiny yellow color. by gently cleaning it with a polishing cloth. It is recommended that you do this before there is a lot of build up in the patina.

To slow down the patina effect, remember to wipe down your jewelry after wearing especially if you sweat a lot or your piece was exposed to oils, chlorinated water or other harsh chemicals.

Most of our brass jewelry is plated in yellow gold. To ensure a better life span of your plated brass jewelry, do not expose it to water or oils. Please remove your jewelry while exercising, bathing, and swimming, and avoid contact with chlorine, perfumes, makeup, lotions or hair products.

We recommend cleaning your plated jewelry using a slightly damp clean soft cloth. Make sure to fully dry the piece before wearing it. Do not use harsh chemicals, jewelry cleaners, or polishing cloths, as this will affect the finish.

Wipe down your jewelry after wear, as oils, sweat and other fluids from your daily routine eat away at your jewelry.

We suggest storing your jewelry in the box or pouch that we provide. Please remember that as this is not fine jewelry, and so wearing off of the plating will eventually occur. This is normal. We recommend that you follow these instructions carefully. How fast the plating wears off will ultimately depend on you.

We are not responsible for the maintenance of your jewelry.
